Whiskey-A-Gigi's DramKeeper — Privacy Policy

Whiskey-A-Gigi's DramKeeper (“DramKeeper”, “we”, “us”) is an app for adults of legal drinking age to catalog, rate, and get recommendations about whiskey. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions? Email whiskeyagigi@gmail.com.
The short version
- Your whiskey collection, ratings, and notes are stored on your device.
- You can use your own AI key (BYOK) and never create an account or use our servers at all.
- If you turn on our optional managed backend, you sign in with Google or Apple and we store only your account ID, email, and credit balance.
- Bottle photos and text you submit for AI features are sent to Anthropic (Claude) to generate a result; we don’t use them for advertising.
- We don’t sell your data and we don’t show ads.
Information we collect
- Collection data (on your device). Bottles you add, ratings, tasting notes, wishlist, and photos are stored locally in your browser/app storage. We do not receive a copy unless you use an AI feature (below).
- Account data (only if you sign in). If you enable the managed backend and sign in with Google or Apple, we receive and store your account identifier, email address, and a credit balance. We use Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple; we never see your password. If you use Sign in with Apple's "Hide My Email," we only ever see the private relay address Apple provides.
- AI request content. When you identify a bottle by photo or name, or request recommendations, that image or text is sent to our server and on to Anthropic’s Claude API to produce a response. It is used only to generate your result.
- Usage + billing records. For managed accounts we keep minimal logs (timestamps, which action, token counts, credits spent) to operate the service and prevent abuse, and a record of in-app purchases for accounting and to prevent duplicate credits.
How we use information
- To provide the app’s features (cataloging, identification, recommendations).
- To manage your account, credits, and in-app purchases.
- To keep the service secure, enforce rate limits, and prevent fraud or abuse.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Third parties we share with
- Google — for sign-in (authentication) and, on Android, Google Play billing. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
- Apple — for Sign in with Apple (authentication) and, on iOS, App Store in-app purchases. See Apple’s Privacy Policy.
- Anthropic — AI processing of the photos/text you submit for identification and recommendations. See Anthropic’s Privacy Policy.
- Cloudflare — hosts our backend that brokers these requests.
If you use your own AI key (BYOK) without our managed backend, your requests go directly to your chosen provider and not through us.
Data retention
- On-device data stays until you delete it or uninstall the app.
- Account, credit, usage, and purchase records are kept while your account is active and as needed for security, legal, and accounting purposes.
Your choices and rights
- Use without an account. Keep managed mode off and use your own AI key.
- Sign out any time in Settings to stop using the managed backend.
- Delete your account and data. Clearing the app’s storage or uninstalling removes on-device data. To permanently delete your managed account and its records (profile, credits, and purchase history), open Settings → Account → Delete account in the app, or email whiskeyagigi@gmail.com.
Children
DramKeeper is intended only for adults of legal drinking age (21+ in the United States) and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
We may update this policy; we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be noted in the app or on this page.
